WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 28, 2008) —  Members of the American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter North County Branch Angels raised over $10,000 during their annual Luncheon and Fashion Show held at the Jonathon’s Landing County Club in Jupiter.  Monies raised will assist the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter provide disaster relief throughout the Northern Palm Beach County Area.

Under the leadership of event co-chairs Betty Ann Withers and Martha Johnson the North County Angles had over 150 women present from throughout the North County Area for lunch, conversation and a fashion show coordinated by Rose Meyerowich of Fashion by Rose Meyerowich.  Festivities also included a raffle and silent auction featuring elaborate gift baskets and services donated by local merchants including, National Republic Distributing Company, Sweet Inspirations Lady’s Boutique and Garden of Eden.  With underwriting provided by Don and Ginny Hersey.

Betty Ann Withers said “The American Red Cross provides a vital service in our community everyday, by coming together with women throughout our area to enjoy an afternoon out while helping a wonderful organization is a win-win for everyone.”  Martha Johnson added “All of the Angels and I look forward to seeing the money raised at this luncheon put to use within our community.”

The program for the afternoon included a welcome by J.B. Hunt, CEO and an overview of the Red Cross Emergency Service Division by Mary Blakeney, Senior Director of Emergency Services.  In addition to a live raffle and announcement of silent auction winners; the afternoon was topped of by a magnificent fashion show featuring designers from Palm Beach to Palm City.
