WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 6, 2008) — The American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter is proud to announce Heather Wiley as the new lead staff position for the North County Service Center. Wiley be responsible for all service delivery activities in North County, including Disaster Action Teams and CPR/First Aid Classes, as well as overseeing the North County volunteers.
Wiley has vast experience with the Red Cross, most recently serving as the Community Disaster Education Coordinator and is very familiar with all Red Cross Services. Her Red Cross experiences dates back to 1993 when she volunteered locally providing partners for the elderly at local hospitals. Wiley continued her Red Cross service while at the University of Florida, serving in the American Red Cross University Club. She briefly relocated to Philadelphia to serve as Volunteer Coordinator for the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter.
Heather Wiley was born and raised in North Palm Beach and is thrilled to be helping people in her own community. Wiley said, “I am anxious to give back to the wonderful community I grow-up in.” Wiley added, “I look forward to working with the local community and increasing our North County volunteers.”
