WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (Feb. 9, 2008) —The American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter is proud to announce the deployment of another volunteer to assist with relief efforts from the devastating tornadoes the struck the southern states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi.
Local volunteer Carmen Carpenter of West Palm Beach will be leaving today, Saturday, for Nashville. Mrs. Carpenter will be assisting as a nurse service associate, providing assistance to meet disaster-caused emergency health needs such as medications, medical equipment, treatment, and health recovery information.
