Participants receive lifesaving training

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 13, 2008) – During March is Red Cross Month, it is the goal of the American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter to provide even more area residents with lifesaving training, increase our community presents and reach more community members with vital lifesaving information. This is being accomplished through a “Mass CPR Training” being held at City Place.

  • WHAT: The local Red Cross is will be teaching approximately 50 students lifesaving CPR skills in a high-energy environment in the middle of City Place.
  • WHO: American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter and approximately 50 CPR students.
  • WHY: According to statistics, “If bystander CPR is not provided, a sudden cardiac arrest victim’s chances of survival fall 7 percent to 10 percent for every minute of delay until defibrillation.” Yearly, the American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter trains over 15,000 area residents in CPR, and we are constantly striving to educate more area residents.
