BOCA RATON, Fla. (December 1, 2008) — Forms Gallery of Delray Beach’s Atlantic Avenue has partnered with the South County Branch of the Greater Palm Beach Area Chapter of the American Red Cross to bring three days of fine art and philanthropy to local art enthusiasts. With the Red Cross as its beneficiary, special programming will occur on December 3rd, 4th and 6th, featuring famous wood worker Tim Carter. The gallery, which is comprised of fine contemporary paintings, sculptures, glass and jewelry, will bring season joy to attendees as they take advantage of special opportunities to shop for unique holiday gifts and attend exclusive demonstrations and workshops.

On Wednesday, December 3rd, for $10 there is an artist reception from 6 to 9 p.m. that will include wine donated by Caffe Luna Rosa, a light dinner donated by Lou Glesmann, music and an opportunity to talk with Carter about his work. On Thursday, December 4th, Delray Beach will feature its culturally enriching Art and Jazz on the Avenue, which only occurs six times yearly, from 6 to 10 p.m. As part of this fun-filled festival, Forms Gallery will host a live woodturning demonstration by Carter. On Saturday, December 6th, Carter will hold a woodturning workshop at the gallery at 2 p.m.

The gallery features work from more than 55 extraordinary artists, representing an A-list of southwestern-style art. The Smithsonian’s permanent collection of artists coming from the southwest includes many who are featured in Forms Gallery, while other artists in the gallery are new and emerging. When asked why gallery owners Dan and Carole Lynn are holding the event for the Red Cross, Carole Lynn said “Since people are starting to shop for the holidays and Tim’s work is priced very well for gifts, we think shoppers will be pleased to contribute to a worthwhile cause while going about their regular seasonal shopping.” All lovers of art and the Red Cross are asked to RSVP for the Forms Gallery festivities at (561) 994-2060.
